Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-06-17T20:57Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-06-17T20:57:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Note Keyword:
3P: 3-part structure CME
GAP: Data gap
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
L: Loop
Note: CME visible to the south in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Partially overlaps with CME: 2024-06-17T20:21Z in the field of view of the coronagraphs. The source is on the far side, and can be seen as material exiting beyond the limb in the far south of GOES SUVI 304 from 2024-06-18T20:16Z to 20:44Z. This material can also be seen lifting off along with opening field lines in SDO AIA 171. Due to a data gap in STEREO A COR2 from 2024-06-17T19:23Z to 2024-06-18T00:23Z, the CME is not visible in COR2A until the leading edge is out of the field of view.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type |

The plane of sky method was chosen for this measurement due to lack of source longitude, no STEREO A COR2 imagery available for a measurement, and far southern appearance in the coronagraphs, which makes deriving a possible latitude/longitude difficult. |
